HTC A101 Plus Review: A Practical and Dependable Tablet

Posted on November 29, 2024November 29, 2024 by Nilis Mawutin

The HTC A101 Plus strikes a balance between practicality and reliability, offering a robust tablet experience with a sleek design, dependable battery life, and solid performance for everyday tasks.

Design and Build: Slim and Lightweight

Weighing 501g and measuring 7.5mm thick, the HTC A101 Plus is impressively portable without compromising on durability. Available in Gray and Silver, its minimalist design is both modern and versatile, suitable for professional or personal use.

Despite its slim profile, the tablet includes a microSDXC slot (shared with the SIM slot), making it easy to expand storage if needed.

Display: Functional and Spacious

The 10.95-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels is ideal for browsing, reading, and streaming. While it doesn’t boast high-end display features like HDR or a high refresh rate, it provides adequate brightness and color reproduction for everyday use.

Whether you’re watching videos, attending virtual meetings, or scrolling through social media, the display delivers a satisfactory visual experience.

Camera: Basic but Effective

The dual-camera setup on the rear includes a 13MP main sensor paired with a secondary lens, which is versatile enough for casual photography, document scanning, or video recording.

The camera performs well under good lighting conditions, but low-light performance may not be its strong suit. For selfies and video calls, the tablet is equipped with a dependable 8MP front camera that delivers clear results.

Performance: Smooth and Reliable

Running on Android 14, the HTC A101 Plus ensures a seamless and intuitive user experience. With 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, the tablet handles multitasking, app usage, and moderate gaming with ease.

For users requiring additional storage, the microSDXC slot provides flexibility, though its shared SIM functionality means you’ll need to choose between extra storage or cellular connectivity.

Battery: All-Day Dependability

The 7000mAh battery offers enough power to last through extended work or entertainment sessions, making it a reliable companion for daily use. While the 10W charging is relatively slow compared to modern standards, the battery’s capacity compensates by offering solid longevity on a single charge.
