Honor X60 Pro Review – A Premium Mid-Range with a Massive Battery

Posted on January 30, 2025January 30, 2025 by Nilis Mawutin

The Honor X60 Pro is a sleek and powerful mid-range smartphone, combining a stunning AMOLED display, capable Snapdragon processor, and a massive 6600 mAh battery with fast charging. With Magic OS 8 based on Android 14, it offers a refined software experience, while the high-resolution camera and smooth 120Hz refresh rate make it an appealing choice for everyday users.

Design and Build: Sleek and Lightweight

Weighing 188g with a slim 8mm profile, the Honor X60 Pro is impressively lightweight for a phone packing such a large battery. The curved edges and premium materials make it comfortable to hold and stylish to look at.

Available in Black, Green, Silver, and Orange, the phone caters to different style preferences, whether you prefer a classic or bold look.

Display: Smooth, Bright, and Immersive

The 6.78-inch AMOLED display delivers a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring a fluid user experience with buttery smooth scrolling and animations. With 1 billion colors and 3000 nits peak brightness, it offers vibrant visuals and excellent visibility even under direct sunlight. The 1224 x 2700 pixels resolution ensures crisp and detailed images, making it ideal for watching content and gaming.

Performance: Reliable for Everyday Use

Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 (4 nm) chipset, the Honor X60 Pro offers solid performance for daily tasks, multitasking, and moderate gaming. While it’s not the most powerful chipset in its category, it delivers a smooth experience thanks to Magic OS 8 optimizations.

With storage options of 128GB/8GB RAM, 256GB/8GB RAM, 256GB/12GB RAM, and 512GB/12GB RAM, users get plenty of space, though lack of microSD support might be a drawback for those needing expandable storage.

Camera: High-Resolution Shooter for Everyday Photography

The Honor X60 Pro keeps things simple with a single 108 MP main camera, capturing sharp and detailed images in well-lit conditions. While there’s no ultra-wide or telephoto lens, the high-resolution sensor allows for digital zoom and cropping without major quality loss.

For selfies, the 8 MP front camera is decent for casual photos and video calls, though it may struggle in low-light environments.

Battery: Powerhouse with Fast Charging

A standout feature of the Honor X60 Pro is its 6600 mAh battery, ensuring long-lasting endurance, even with heavy usage. Whether you’re gaming, streaming, or working on the go, this phone will easily last a full day or more.

Charging is fast with 66W wired charging, getting the battery back to 50% in around 25 minutes. It also supports 5W reverse wired charging, allowing you to power up other devices when needed.
