Oppo A3x 4G Review – A Budget-Friendly Smartphone with Fast Charging

Posted on January 30, 2025January 30, 2025 by Nilis Mawutin

The Oppo A3x 4G is a budget-friendly smartphone designed for users who need a large display, fast charging, and decent performance for daily tasks. Running on Android 14 with ColorOS 14, it offers a smooth software experience, while its lightweight design and reliable battery life make it a great companion for everyday use.

Design and Build: Slim and Comfortable

Weighing only 186g with a slim 7.7mm thickness, the Oppo A3x 4G is lightweight and easy to hold, making it ideal for long hours of use. The plastic build is sturdy, and the Nebula Red and Ocean Blue color options add a touch of vibrancy to the design.

Display: Bright and Smooth for Everyday Use

The 6.67-inch IPS LCD display offers a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, which makes scrolling and animations feel fluid. With a peak brightness of 1000 nits (HBM), the screen is bright enough for outdoor visibility, but the 720 x 1604 pixels resolution is on the lower side compared to competitors, meaning text and images may not be as sharp.

Performance: Capable for Basic Tasks

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 1 chipset delivers decent performance for daily activities like social media, video streaming, and casual gaming. It’s not designed for heavy gaming or intensive multitasking, but it handles basic tasks smoothly.

Storage options range from 64GB/4GB RAM to 256GB/8GB RAM, and with a microSDXC slot, users can expand storage for more apps, photos, and videos.

Camera: Basic but Functional

The dual-camera setup consists of an 8 MP main sensor and an auxiliary lens. While it’s not the most powerful camera setup, it’s sufficient for casual photography in good lighting. However, low-light performance is limited.

The 5 MP front camera is basic, making it suitable for video calls and occasional selfies, but users who prioritize high-quality selfies may find it lacking.

Battery: Long-Lasting with Fast Charging

The 5100 mAh battery ensures a full day of use on a single charge. One of the highlights of the Oppo A3x 4G is its 45W wired charging, which significantly reduces charging time, allowing users to quickly power up their device compared to other budget phones.
